Partnership Constructs Unrivaled Training Course Using Silicone Vasculature

The Society of Interventional Radiology holds a five-day course (CLOTS) for physicians with ACGME training. The course features hands-on instruction using silicone vessels, flow pumps and imaging systems developed by United Biologics, Inc. in Southern California. CLOTS coordinator Carl M. Black, MD and steering committee member J.J. “Buddy” Connors, MD, FSIR chose United Biologics to develop the custom silicone test vessels in order to create a realistic and full-scale test platform for their class.

TUSTIN, Calif. – United Biologics, Inc. today announced that it is partnering with the Society of Interventional Radiologists annual CLOTS (Catheter Lysis of Thromboembolic Stroke) meeting in Dallas Fort Worth Texas to equip a workshop with physiologically accurate silicone training vessels that include the peripheral, cardio and neuro vasculature all in one seamless unit.

The test vessels by United Biologics challenge physicians with varying degrees of tortuosity through both normal and abnormal vasculature that is physiologically accurate, seamless and reusable.
