The Upper Leg Arterial Model begins at the common femoral artery which branches into the superficial femoral and the profunda femoris (deep femoral). The superficial femoral artery (SFA) extends to the proximal popliteal artery. The profunda femoris branches off to the lateral circumflex before leading to the first, second, and third perforating arteries.
